January... A little late

We were lucky enough to go visit Nana and Papi in Silverdale in January! We fit in one more plane ride before Sami was too old to ride on Mommy's lap. Traveling always tires the poor girl out, and I can't resist the chance to take pictures of Sami sleeping.

There were so many presents at Christmas that we were unable to bring them all home. Nana and Papi were nice enough to bring them to their house so we could bring them home with us this time. Sami was very happy to see big froggy, she had missed him!

The timing of our trip could not have been better (Mark likes to take the credit for this one). Mom had a three day weekend while we were there- not to mention it snowed the whole time so she got to stay home from work! Sami finally got to see snow! We had a blast, although Sami wasn't so sure about all the clothes she had to wear to go outside.....
At first, it wasn't snowing very hard at all...

But by the next morning, we had plenty of snow to play in!

Sami showing off her Christmas present from Blake: A Chico State Shirt! Class of 2032 Baby!!! (Just don't tell Dad, he'll say U of H!)

When we got back from Washington, we went to see the Harlem Globetrotters. Sami Didn't really understand why they were so funny, but she had a great time watching all of the fans and the action (And the nachos didn't hurt either!)

2 more pictures and I am done :)  Sami had her first swim lesson in January and she LOVES it. She loves the songs they sing, blowing bubbles, floating, kicking, going underwater, everything. In fact, she loved it so much that by the beginning of February, she had moved up to the next class! It's a mommy and me class so I couldn't get pictures of the actual class, but here she is ready to start on her first day!

Another first: Sami started taking an interest in playing dress-up. She really wanted to be "Melmo"- and what an adorable "Melmo" she is!

I guess the biggest news in January is that we started letting people in on a little secret we found out at Thanksgiving..... Sami is going to be a BIG SISTER this summer!
