Newborn and Family Photos

One thing I regret with Sami is not getting newborn pictures done. I knew I wanted to get them done for Natalie. Since she somehow got out of both 3-D and maternity pictures, these are the first professional pictures we have of her. I am so pleased with how they turned out, and with the fact that we got some with both girls as well.
First the girls together, sisterly love at it's best!

Now, sweet Natalie. I don't know how she could get any cuter!

We even got some family photos taken. It's not easy to get good pictures in nearly 100 degree weather with a newborn and a toddler, but we managed to get a few cute ones.

I love this one of the girls... Sami looks like she's saying "What now?"

Have I mentioned that I love my family?

Sami keeps busy

With all of the hustle and bustle with a new baby in the house, Sami found cool ways to keep busy.  She enjoyed cooking with Daddy. Here they are making cinnamon rolls.

We are also getting ready for Preschool and collecting supplies. Sami's new sleeping bag came in and she had to try it out right away! It is extra special because it has her name on it :)

And of course, she loves to play on the computer!

At gymnastics, there was an Olympic Theme to the class.

When she got home, she showed off her gold medal to Nana & Papi

And of course, Our little fishy Sami Loved to go swimming. She would have spent the entire summer in the water if someone would let her! Her adorable elephant towel made her even cuter. Not to mention her cute suits.

Between swim lessons and time in our neighborhood pool, Sami has become a pretty darn good swimmer. She is able to float on her back the entire length of the pool, can doggie paddle quite well and is beginning to hold her breath and swim under water.

and to sum up July in Sami-land........ my little ham

Natalie in July

I can't get enough of this little girl. Sorry for so many pictures!

She just looks so tiny on her little rug and in her bouncy seat. Look how alert she is!

Yup, My eyes are blue!

A bunch of Birthdays

The last week of July has 3 birthdays, just in our family! Since Mark has to share a birthday with Jen every year, we had a small celebration just for him the day before- complete with his favorite pork chops, mashed potatoes and cinnamon cake. Happy early 33rd bday!

His Mini-Me helped him celebrate!

Of course, we celebrated again on his ACTUAL birthday, and celebrated Jen too!

Once home, we surprised him with an ice cream cake. Sami couldn't wait for us to take a picture, she tried to eat the whole thing before we could even get it out of the box!

Family Birthday Photo!

Next Came Mom's Bday. Happy 58th Mom! Guess you needed help opening presents

3 Generations!

A Parade of Vistors

It's amazing what having a baby will do- people will actually come visit you!  We loved having everyone over!

First, the Woods' came to visit. Hard to believe that Monica and I have known each other so long, or that our "girl time" now includes 4 kids!

Aren't they cute? It was especially cute to see Sydney and Sami practice "walking down the aisle" in preparation for Titi Becky's Wedding!

Erin brought Elyse and Cole over to visit and it was neat to see the size difference between the 2 little ones. Cole is 9 days older than Natalie- hard to believe huh?

Since Bob was out of the country when Natalie was born (and he tried sooooo hard to schedule his vacation so he would be home in time to be here for the birth!), He got to meet her a little later than the rest of the family. What a proud Grandpa!

Leyla practicing to be a big sister and meeting Titi Becky!

The Satterwhites' came to visit too!

It was super adorable to see the boys with Natalie- I remember when they were that little!

We actually got to have a play date with Sami's best buddies and now, the new generation of buddies! Sami, Arabella, Blake, Natalie, Sophia and Avery.
