Memorial Day Weekend

Fresh off our trip from Washington, we used our three day weekend to visit some friends in Austin. We spent the night at Monica's house and had so much fun. I am constantly reminded how much I miss the and how much fun the kids have together.

Saturday was nice and relaxing. Just hanging out in the front yard, watching the kids drive around. Dylan an Sami weren't quite big enough to drive it themselves, so Mark pushed them around until he got tired. Of course, that wasn't enough for them!

Sydney is an old pro at driving her car. She was very sweet to give Sami a ride. It looks like they went through the woods, but really it was just Monica's front yard!

Sunday was all about Dylan, the birthday boy. I can't believe he is already 2! Happy Birthday Dylan. We love you!

The theme to the party was Spongebob. Check out the cool cake!

The kids loved to open the presents. I think Sydney was the only one actually interested in the presents though, Sami and Dylan just liked to play with the wrapping paper.

They enjoy cards and snack too. They are just so cute together!

After the party guests had left, we enjoyed a little more time just relaxing at the house. Both Mark and I were covered in kids!

It was sad to leave that evening. I wish they lived closer! At least we got a picture just before we left. Who knew when Monica and I met nearly 12 years ago that we would still be friends AND that our kids would become friends?

Monday, back in Houston, we go to Auntie Jen's pool for a little swimming. I didn't know what to expect since it was the first time in the pool this year. I shouldn't have worried though, she is my little fish!

Her favorite part of Jen's pool is the little water fountain that is in the corner. She tries to catch the water, stop the water, drink the water, and splash the water. It's great fun!

Happy Memorial Day!
