Vacation part I

This holiday season, our plan was to spend our vacation in Washington at my parents house. Momo was going to meet us there and Brian and his Girlfriend would be there too. The whole family all together. Well....... things changed when Momo fell and broke her leg. It was a bad break too. 3 inches lengthwise down her femur. Mom and Dad headed down to Chico to help take care of her in the hospital. Sami and I, who had our tickets to Washington already, went to Washington as planned. It was strange without Mom and Dad there... but Sami loved hanging out under the tree.

Since Mom was out of town, the preschool was short-staffed. I helped fill in with teaching and in the office. Dad came home on Tuesday to see us and all three of us went to the school performance. Sami had a blast watching all the kids..... and the kids had fun with her too!

By the end of the week, Dad and I were missing Mom. Momo was getting better, her surgery went well, but she had not been transferred to a rehabilitation hospital and we knew it would take a while. Mark flew in on Friday and we decided to make the drive down to Chico to have the family all together.

Mark got Sami ready for the trip!
