Rodeo

It's Rodeo time! We wanted to show my family some real Houston culture, so we headed to the Rodeo! We even got Momo to go in a wheel chair.  Our first stop was, of course, the many food vendors. No pictures of those, but it was great to get a little bit of everything and taste it all! Our next stop was the petting zoo. One of the not so lovely things about the Rodeo is that EVERYTHING costs money. Rather than pay for all of the adults to go in, Just Sami and Mommy went in to feed all the cool animals. (By the way, Baby Sister "Flipper" is 5 months cooked in this picture)

Sami enjoyed the animals so much, she had to do a little dance

We had a little time before the concert started, so we hit the midway for some rides and games. It was neat to see Sami have so much fun and be so excited about everything. She is really at a wonderful age!

We sometimes forget that she is getting older though, Mark took her to the train ride and expected to ride with her, he was WAY to big, so Sami had her first Solo-ride. Judging from the smile on her face, I don't think she missed us one bit!

The Jumbo slide was a great hit, but trying to catch a picture of the action was quite challenging!

Most of the midway games are a little too advanced for a 2 year old, but Sami did great at throwing balls onto a board- she even won a pink doggy that she named "Hannah Doggy" (of course!)

Momo was very excited to get Sami her first real Cowgirl hat. Here is our little model:

The Zac Brown Band was the performer for the evening and it was a fantastic concert. Everyone enjoyed it! Since it was Sami's first concert, she was mesmerized! (Notice that Hannah Doggy is being held tightly!)

A visit to the Rodeo would not be complete without a funnel cake before you leave. Needless to say, the 6 of us polished off plenty of them! A good time was had by all!

P.S. The next morning, Sami was still so excited about her pink cowboy hat that she posed all morning! Thanks Momo!
