An Easter Spent in California

This year Easter was special for many reasons- Easter is a joyous time of year, we were able to spend it in California with family, AND it was Momo and Brandon's birthday!

Tamara saved us yet again and let us borrow a bed for Sami. (I have to admit, I kinda use the excuse just to see her and the kids!) The girls were so cute together!

We were able to spend Saturday before Easter at Brandon and Amanda's to celebrate the birthdays! It was great to see the cousins and especially to meet the newest cousin, Ryan. Isn't he the cutest with his Easter treats?

Happy Birthday to Momo and Brandon! We love you!

Easter was spent at our annual Family Easter Reunion. I haven't been in years, but I knew how much it would mean to Momo for us to be there and for her to show off Sami. The weather was great, and being able to see everyone was nice.

Everyone knew it was Momo's birthday, and they thought is was important that she had balloons to celebrate! Doesn't she look excited???    :)

Of course, the highlight of the day was the Easter Egg hunt! First, Sami had to plan her strategy:

The day after Easter we were lucky enough to go visit our good friend Haylee and her son, Mason. Sami and Mason are 2 weeks apart and they have been friends since the womb.

It was sad to leave, especially since we don't know when we will see each other again. Masons' face said it best! 

So, better late than never right? We did our egg coloring and backyard egg hunting AFTER Easter, but it was still just as much fun.

I am afraid that Sami has inherited my egg hunting skills, which is to say, she has none. We will work on it!

Before we left, Brandon and Ellie came to visit one last time. I loved seeing the girls together, it amazes me how close they are in size now- what a huge difference from last year!  

Most of all, having pictures of them with Momo is priceless! I hope one day they realize how lucky they are.
