Happy 1st Birthday Sami!!!

(Be prepared for A LOT of pictures!!!!)

March 9th, 2001. We spent the whole day celebrating! I can't believe my tiny little baby is a year old today! I am sure she got sick of all the pictures that we took!

Daddy had to go to work, but not before he got Birthday hugs!

A breakfast made for a Birthday Princess!

To begin the Birthday celebration, we met with our Mommies Group friends at the Children's Museum, we always have fun there!

 

We met everyone downstairs... Sami opened a few presents, but liked the card the most!

Upstairs, the kids got to go wild!

It was great to see so many of her friends

It was nice that My parents were able to come and meet all of her friends, as well as visit the museum that we talk so much about!

Blake, her little boyfriend, wore his Birthday Shirt too! (Sami likes to give kisses)

We tried to get a picture of all the kids together, but it was like trying to get a picture of a hill of ants!

We did get a pretty good shot of everyone with Moms....

But the fun wasn't over......

Sami was WORN OUT! We made it home in time for a nap. Mark found quite a surprise when he went in to get her up over an hour later......

How she got her shirt like that, we have no idea! She didn't understand why we were all laughing so hard!

With Mark home and nap time over, it was time for the Presents and Birthday festivities!!!  Grandma and Grandpa Richter came over to celebrate too!

 We started with presents... there were so many!

Highlights of the chaos..... pots, pans and dishes from Momo.... a wagon from Grandma and Grandpa Richter...

A bubble mower from Uncle Brian and Cortney, and a slide from Mommy and Daddy

    

and now..... what you have all been waiting for..... CAKE!

At first she was a little timid...

     

then she really started going for it.....

I call the next one "Cake Bliss"

and then it got to be too much.. but water made it all better!

All of the festivities were a little too much for Sami. After cake, she got a fun bath and went straight to her PJ's. Before we put her to bed, we got one last family self- portrait, What a difference a year makes!!
