So many fun things to do this time of the year! The costumed festivities started with Sami's gymnastics class. We got all dressed up and ready to go.... it was then that we realized that the tutu was so big, it made it very hard to buckle the car seat! I didn't get many pictures, but the cutest thing was seeing her little poofy rear end sticking out of the tunnel!
Later in the week, we had our Halloween costume party at our Mommies Group. It was a HUGE turnout!
It was nice to play with all of our friends and see the cute costumes. We had fairies, jungle animals, fruits and vegetables....
And the winner of the costume contest is......
a 4 week old chip and dale dancer! Complete with dollar bills in his waistband. Love it!
Zoo Boo was next on our Halloween adventures. A smaller group of us took the kids. It was nice that Sami is now old enough to enjoy looking at the animals, the playing on the playground and the animals in the petting zoo. Plus there were so many fun things to do just for Halloween. We each got to pick a small pumpkin at the pumpkin patch!
Blake with Sami Carrie and Brooks Sami and I
Sami enjoyed the goats and the slide (thanks Brooks for helping!), but wasn't too sure about the carousel!
It's very interesting to get around with 7 strollers!
Saturday night, Mark and I actually got to have a night out with friends. We all dressed up and met at our house before heading down to Washington Street. Thank you to Andrea and Amyn for watching Sami!
Jessica and Jason went as Hans Solo and Princess Leia, Mark and I went as Popeye and a Pirate, Samantha and David went as a Southern Belle and her Gentleman.
What a group we are!
And FINALLY Halloween arrives! We took Sami over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to show off her costume. They loved it of course! They even had a trick or treat bag full of goodies just for her.
From there, we went to Aunt Jens' house for Trick-or-Treating. Aunt Jen had a cute little bear as a treat!
We ended the night in Auntie Jessica's neighborhood and even did some true trick-or-treating at a few houses. Sami just liked looking at all the other kids and the lights. Mark and I liked the candy!
Whew! What a week! Good thing Halloween only comes once a year..... I think I already know what we are all going to dress up as next year. There is, after all, only 51 weeks left to get ready!
