Well, it took 7 months, but the Richter Family was FINALLY able to take a vacation- all 3 of us! For Dads' birthday, we all drove down to Seaside, Oregon and spent the long weekend in a condo on the beach. The view was breathtaking, the condo was perfect and we were all able to relax and enjoy our trip!
The first full day we were in Seaside was Dads' birthday, and Samis' too (7 months that is!)
It was a rainy day, so we took a drive to the Tillamook Cheese and Ice Cream Factory. Yum!
Mark snuck her some Ice Cream- which she LOVED.... not so much on the hat, doesn't she look excited?
Back at the condo, the weather was still windy and rainy- perfect weather for practicing walking with Grandpa, trying out the new travel high chair, and snuggling with Daddy.
The next day was beautiful out! Perfect for a little stroll to the beach.
It was all a little to much excitement for Sami. She rallied though and later we walked down to the carousel for Samis' 1st ride. I don't really know how much she liked it, either she didn't like going so fast, or the fact that I was sitting BEHIND her instead of NEXT to her!
After all the excitement, we went for a little swim....
We used the kick board as a surf board, it was great! Too bad we forgot the swim diapers, the regular ones got HUGE!!!
Just a picture of my Super Family!
Beautiful sunset!
Before bed, Grandpa and Sami had a little wrestling time on the floor- I think Sami wins (notice the large amount of drool falling on Grandpa!)
Day three started with another trip to the beach- Mark actually went for a COLD swim and Sami played in the sand.
And spent the rest of the day exploring the town and promenade
Mark liked posing by the statue of Lewis and Clark
It was a great vacation! I am so glad that Mark was able to join us on this one. I think we might have to make this an annual thing!
And now, the many faces of Sami..... so sorry to indulge!
| Thanks for the hat Uncle Brian! |
